I am a PhD candidate in the School of Law at University of Reading. My thesis, entitled 'Abject Intimacies: sexual perversion in the crimino-legal imaginary', investigates and critiques the inheritance of medico-legal theories of sexual perversion on contemporary criminal law in England and Wales, and their effects on constructions of the sex offender.

I have taught on modules in criminal law, sociology of crime, gender and law, and jurisprudence at University of Reading and Birkbeck, University of London.
